Precision heating baths

PZ26
PZ26 + RI18/EPZ26 + RGG40PZ26 + LO90 + ST12Technical Data
Applicable as liquid - oil - air - sandbath for continuous operation

The precision heating baths heat vessels and bath fillings of any kind. A microprocessor-controlled PID-controller carries out the control in connection with a low-mass and fast-reacting temperature sensor. The actual temperature is constantly displayed. The adjustable set temperature appears at the push of a button. These devices are also used in rotary evaporators, for example.

Construction: Tubular heating element and heating chamber are highly heat-resistant stainless steel. The upper jacket is fire-enameled. The bath tank has an insert support for ring sets, perforated plates, and other inserts. The housing is made of stainless steel, and the base is painted. All units are designed for continuous operation. The bath tank features a screw-on device for a support rod (Order No. ST12).

PZ26-4 for temperatures up to 400°C is suitable as a liquid, air, or sand bath. The bath filling can be oils, water, sand, or any other filling which will not attack the surface of the bath, which is made out of high-grade, stainless steel  (W-No.1.4301).

PZ26-7 for temperatures up to 700°C offers the same application possibilities, but not as a liquid bath. This device is to be used as a dry, air, or sand bath. Heating is provided by a tightly soldered tubular heating element.

As fluid-, air- or sandbath for continuous operation

Can be universally employed as either an air, fluid or sandbath for heating many of the various receptactles in laboratory use, regardless of size or material, for temperatures ranging between 60...600°C. Construction: Conical bath tank with 2L capacity for MU85 and 5L for MS26/E made of stainless steel with stainless steel tubular heating element. Upper shell fire enameled. Stainless steel substructure. The bath tanks have two integrated support levels for ring sets, perforated plates, and other inserts so that the distance to the tubular heating element can be varied. The deive features a socket for support rods (Order No. ST12).

Controllability of type MU85
The MU85 can be controlled continuously from 10 - 100% via a power controller.

Controllability of type MU85/ER, MS26/E
As MU85 but with an additional built-in electronic switching relay and contactor socket (extra-low voltage) for connection of a contact thermometer, however, this connection is not conditional. If a contact thermometer is connected, it is automatically given priority in the control. Without a contact thermometer, they work in exactly the same way as Type MU85 - with a variable power control.

Series heating baths

SMR4ADD
Technical Data

Each heating bath can be used independently as an air, sand, or liquid bath. All heating baths have a socket for a support rod ø 12 mm (order no. ST12). Construction: Tubular heating element and heating chamber made of highly heat-resistant stainless steel. The upper jacket is fire-enameled. The bath tank has an insert support for ring sets, perforated plates, and other inserts. Temperature is infinitely variable up to 600°C. With a 1.8 m power cord.

Controllability of type SM...
A power controller can regulate each heating element continuously from 10 - 100%.

Controllability of type SMR...
Each heating element has an additional built-in electronic switching relay and contactor socket (low voltage) for the contact thermometer. However, this connection is not conditional. If a contact thermometer is connected, it is automatically given priority in the control. Without connection, type SMR... operates like type SM... with stepless control.

Waterbath

W16
W16 + RI17/E + ST12Technical Data
Robust, inexpensive, and for continuous operation

The W16 is a water bath for temperatures of up to 110°C. The stainless steel tank (160 mmØ x 100 mm) is tightly mounted in stainless steel housing. A thermostat controls the temperature with an accuracy of ± 1.5 K or better. Dry-boil protection prevents overheating in case of water shortage. A temperature fuse provides additional protection. The low lying ring-set (Order No.-Nr. RI 17/E) enables the condensed water to drop back into the bath.

The W16 has a screw-in socket for a support rod (Order No. ST12).
